Like the Lebombo Euphorbia tree after which it was named, the design of Lebombo Lodge is one of a kind. From the sweeping wooden decks, you can watch the theatre that unfolds before you, while the lap pool beckons to enjoy a relaxing afternoon. The fifteen suites feature contemporary finishes with beds dressed with Egyptian cotton and silky-soft throws. Enjoy dinner in the boma, then spend the evening, if you so wish, sleeping under the stars on the bed of your private terrace.
Singita Lebombo Lodge can accommodate 30 guests in 15 suites.
All suites are en-suite with an inside and outside shower, bath, mini bar and fridge, room safe, air-conditioning, overhead fans, direct dial telephones and game viewing deck with a day bed. All the suites have direct dial telephones.
The main lodge boasts an open-plan lounge and bar area complete with a library and internet and computer facilities.
Dining areas overlook the expanse of the concession. There is also a gymnasium, health spa, wine cellar, traditional boma and a swimming pool on the property.
Tariffs include all-suite accommodation, three meals per day, all drinks, including premium wines, spirits and liqueurs (excluding champagnes) and open Land Rover safaris accompanied by experienced guides and trackers.

Health & Travel
Since malaria is present in all the regions the Singita lodges are situated, it is essential to ensure that anti-malarial precautions be taken. Please consult your doctor or pharmacist for further information.
Please ensure that you are in possession of valid travel documents (passport as well as visa) and that you have taken out comprehensive travel insurance.
What to Bring
Since we want your safari experience to be perfect and completely comfortable, we recommend a few items that we believe you should remember to bring along:
- From June to September be sure to pack a few warmer items for cooler mornings and evenings. Days are warm, but a jacket/fleece will be needed for the safaris.
- From October to December temperatures rise and cool, light clothing is once again recommended.
- Try to keep colours neutral for the safaris. Dark colours such as navy blue and black tend to attract the tsetse flies and other bugs.
- Comfortable walking shoes, track shoes or boots will be suitable as well as sandals to wear around at meals and within the lodge area.
- Shorts or skirts and short-sleeve shirts for the warm midday periods.
- Dinners are casual, except at Sasakwa Lodge which lends itself to smart/casual evening attire.
- Swimming costume.
- Sun block, sun hat, sunglasses and lip balm.
- Mosquito / insect repellant.
- Malaria prophylaxis (see our note on Health matters.)
- Extra pair of correction glasses (if you wear them).
- Contact lens solution and an extra set of contact lenses (if required).
- Cameras, binoculars and your favourite film. We do sell film at the lodges but our stock is very limited.
- Spare memory card if you use a digital camera.
- Video camera and a spare battery. (Batteries can be recharged in your suite; electricity voltage is 220V. Power converters and spare video cassettes are available on request).
- Each room is equipped with bathrobes, slippers, hair dryer and basic amenities.
We hope that this little checklist will help with your packing. As this is a time for you to get away and enjoy peace and tranquility, formal attire is not required.
The above temperatures are the average daily maximum and the average daily minimum. The absolute maximum and absolute minimum recorded temperatures differ from these temperatures.
NOVEMBER THROUGH DECEMBER
Our summer months are very hot and humid with either continual rains or very typically afternoon thunder showers which generally clear before the game drives depart. Lots of young animals are born during this time, notably the impala lambs.
JANUARY TO MARCH
These are normally drier months with very hot days. There are lots of beautiful migratory birds during this summer period. Early morning drives with early returns to escape the heat, are typical.
The vegetation starts changing from thick lush green bush to a slightly sparser browning bush during this autumn period. The temperatures start cooling down at night but daytime is still warm. Potential scattered thundershowers can be experienced in the afternoons.
MAY TO JUNE Cold
temperatures are experienced at night and at dawn during our winter months. Warm clothing is recommended such as gloves, scarves, beanies (knitted caps) and insulated jackets. Large herds of elephants start moving back into the area. The vegetation becomes brown and trees start losing leaves. Visibility during drives is enhanced due to sparser vegetation. The Sand River becomes a major game attraction.
JULY TO SEPTEMBER
This period is very dry in the bush with very cold night temperatures and therefore chilly during the early morning and late afternoon game drives. Visibility is good as the game are concentrated around water sources.
SEPTEMBER TO OCTOBER
Spring is the height of the dry season boasting hot dry winds and colourless, sparse vegetation. Because the rivers and dams are low, high concentrations of game can be viewed at these areas and game viewing in general is very good. The first rains may start towards the end of October and the signs of spring and a new wet season are evident.
